Eko box office collection day 12: Sandeep Pradeep, the young Malayalam actor, has proved that he is a force to reckon with his latest film Eko. The slow-burn mystery thriller, which is helmed by Dinjith Ayyathan and penned by Bahul Ramesh, has made it into the top 10 highest-grossing Malayalam films of 2025, as per trade tracker Sacnilk. Here’s a look at the box office figures of Eko, which has been winning solid reviews and feedback.

The Malayalam film Eko, which released in theatres along with Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Vilaayath Budha on November 21, registered only Rs 0.74 crore on its day 12 at the box office. But that would not be a major concern for the makers, as Eko has taken the 10th spot in the list of highest-grossing Malayalam films of the year with a worldwide collection of Rs 29.75 crore, Sacnilk has reported. Sandeep Pradeep-starrer made Rs 19.44 crore in India Malayalam net collections. Previously, actor-director Basil Joseph’s Maranamass was in the 10th spot with Rs 18.96 crore in worldwide collections, and Rs 18.78 crore in India Malayalam net collections

But Eko has a long way to go before it catches up with actor Asif Ali’s Rekhachithram, which is in the ninth spot with Rs 56.75 crore worldwide collections and Rs 26.6 crore in India Malayalam net collections. The list of Malayalam top-grossers is led by Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra, the only woman-led film in the group.

Apart from Sandeep, Eko also features Vineeth, Narain, Saurabh Sachdeva and Binu Pappu along with Biana Momin.

Another recent Malayalam film top 10 is Pranav Mohanlal’s Dies Irae a horror thriller, which is in the fifth spot with Rs 82.11 crore in worldwide collections and Rs 40.87 crore in India Malayalam net collections. Rahul Sadasivan has helmed Dies Irae, which will make its OTT debut on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium on December 5, 2025.
