The producer of the movie, Jerry Bruckheimer, has now officially confirmed that the sequel to the film is definitely in the works but there’s a major twist. This time around, we might not witness Brad Pitt in the lead role. Instead, real-life F1 champion Lewis Hamilton might be the leading face of the sequel. How did F1 producer officially confirm the sequel of his movie?

Speaking to People at The Hollywood Reporter's Nominees Night, F1 producer Jerry Bruckheimer stated that a sequel to the hit film is in the works. "We're working on the story. It's really good," Bruckheimer revealed, confirming that Lewis Hamilton, who had produced the original movie too, is in talks for the project. Whether Brad Pitt will return for the sequel remains a mystery for now. "We'll see. I'm not going to tell you yet," he shared.

F1 featured Brad Pitt in the role of Sonny Hayes. He was portrayed as the last of the Formula F1 racing prodigies of the past who returns to the world of sports after 30 years of being an underdog.
