Many have recognised Dheekshith Shetty through this year’s release Dasara but he forayed into the industry with another credible performance in a film titled Mugguru Monagallu, in which he played a mute man. Meanwhile, the Telugu dubbed version of the actor’s Kannada film Dia was widely watched on Youtube too. He ventured into the OTT space with Sony LIV’s Telugu show Meet Cute.

However, it took an incredibly well-written role like Suri in the pan Indian film Dasara for him to be recognised by a wider audience. Post his success with Dasara, the actor has been choosy about his projects in Telugu and has kept audiences waiting for updates about his next film in the industry. Finally, the day has come. He is returning with a flick that marks the directorial debut of Kilaru Prem Chand.

Reportedly, Dheekshith’s next with Kilaru Prem Chand is an adventure saga and will be produced on a huge budget. Other details about the producer, cast and crew will be revealed by the makers shortly. He already has a handful of films in Kannada including Blink, KTM and Sheegrameva Kalyana Praptirasthu. With Dheekshith’s growing popularity, the films are expected to have a Telugu release as well.

Before entering films, he had a decent stint on the small screen, acting in television soaps like Preethi Endarenu, Saakshi and Naagini. He has constantly shared how this stint groomed him for the bigger stage - cinema.
