GDN first look: Madhavan's film is directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar and will feature Priyamani, Jayaram and others

The first look poster of the upcoming biopic of Indian industrial designer GD Naidu, starring actor Madhavan in the lead role, has been released by the makers on social media on Sunday. The film is titled G.D.N, and features a star-studded ensemble.

Actor Madhavan whose last Tamil outing was The Test earlier this year, will be playing the role of a technical designer and industrialist pioneer GD Naidu in his next. While the announcement was made a while ago, the first look poster of the film titled GDN was released by the makers.
The poster reveals the unbelievable physical transformation of Madhavan using prosthetics, to appear like Naidu. The motion poster also shows Madhavan as Naidu, as he us shown welding with a mask on. Towards the end, he removes his mask to unveil himself. In the film, Madhavan transforms into GD Naidu, who is known to be a self-taught engineer and industrial pioneer. He is called as 'Edison of India', whose brainchild was first electric motor in India.
It is to be noted that GDN is the second biopic that Madhavan is starring in the recent times. He had directed and starred in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, a film based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, an ISRO scientist. GDN is written and directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, who recently made the romantic drama Oho Enthan Baby. With Madhavan as one of the producers of the film, the cast of GDN also includes Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Priyamani, Dushara Vijayan, Thambi Ramaiah and Vinay Rai. The music is scored by Govind Vasantha. A release date for GDN is yet to be fixed by the makers.
