In a bid to save his father’s printing press, Nawabuddin reaches out to Urdu poet Aziz. What starts off as a quest to escape poetry soon takes a romantic turn as Urdu poet Aziz falls for Aziz's daughter, bonding over poetry. Actor Vijay Varma plays the youth, while Fatima Sana Shaikh is seen as his love interest Minnat and Naseeruddin Shah plays the poet. After premiering at the IFFI Goa and a theatrical release later, Gustaakh Ishq has landed on the digital platform JioHotstar.
Actor Nivin Pauly leads Sarvam Maya, as the struggling guitarist Prabhendu, who returns to his roots and takes up his family’s traditional duties after a gig gets cancelled. But his life soon changes when a ghost turns up in his life. Though initially billed as a horror comedy, there is hardly any jumpscare moments in the film as the ghost Delulu is addicted to cell phones and online shopping. Riya Shibu’s delightful performance is the biggest highlight of the movie, which grossed over Rs 100 crore at the box office.

Tamil actor’s film Vaa Vaathiyaar was a late entry to the Pongal 2026 race, after star Vijay’s movie Jana Nayagan got in legal troubles. Despite this, Vaa Vaathiyaar had to bundle up its theatrical run within two weeks and is now streaming on Prime Video (also available for OTTplay Premium subscribers with a top-up option). The film revolves around cop Ramu, whose grandfather is a die-hard fan of MGR. How Ramu begins to impersonate the screen idol after certain incidents is portrayed in the film. Krithi Shetty plays the female lead.
Actor Varus Sadesh dons the khakhee for the first time in his career, as the film follows a small-town cop who is trying to solve a brutal murder. The victim is his own niece and with no systemic support, he is out to get to the bottom of the mystery on his own. The low-budget film failed to attract movie-goers but is expected to gain traction in the digital space.
The Marathi series takes us to a coastal village along the Konkan belt in Maharashtra, where a scary mysterious event strikes every Holi. A villager dies ever year, and it is believed to be committed by a supernatural force. Inspector Vishwas Saranjame, who is deployed on duty at the village, refuses to buy this and sets out to find the truth. Ankush Chaudhari plays the cop, while Onkar Bhojane, Veena Jamkar, and Mangesh Desai are seen in supporting roles.
