GV Prakash, who recently bagged his second National Film Award as music director, had his next project as an actor launched recently. Written and directed by Maria Elanchezian, the film stars Abbas in his comeback to Tamil cinema, Sri Gouri Priya, and others.

Composer GV Prakash, has turned into an actor, and is now starring in films. He was last seen in Kingston earlier this year. The musician-actor's next film was launched by the makers on Tuesday evening.

While the film is yet to get a title, the untitled project will also feature Abbas, Sri Gouri Priya, George Maryan and Geetha Kailasam in prominent roles. Abbas, who was popular during the late 90s and early 2000s, is making a comeback after a long time with the upcoming film. Meanwhile, Sri Gouri Priya’s last performance in Lover, has earned her a name of good performer.

The film is written and directed by Maria Elanchezian in directorial debut. The technical crew consists of cinematography by Madhan Christopher, and editing handled by RK Selva. Justin Prabhakaran is scoring music. Not much about the story has been revealed by the makers so far. More updates about the project are expected to come out in the coming weeks, it is expected to be a family comedy entertainer.

GV Prakash earns his second National Film Award

GV Prakash won his second National Film Award for Music Direction for the 2023 film Vaathi starring Dhanush and directed by Venky Atluri. Previously, the composer won for Soorarai Pottru.

Last seen in Kingson as actor, GV Prakash has several projects to be released. Some of them include 13, Blackmail, Adangathey, Immortal, and Mental Manadhil. As a composer, he is looking forward to Dhanush's Idly Kadai on October 2, Parasakthi with Sivakarthikeyan, Soori's Mandaadi, and Suriya 46 in which he will once again collaborate with Vaathi director Venky Atluri.
