The film made Rs 24 lakh on day 2, which is three times of what day one made, a mere Rs 8 lakh. Visibly Hot Spot 2 has been overshadowed by the re-release of Ajith Kumar’s Mankatha, but the film managed to see a good jump, even as the sequel did not receive overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics.
