Housefull 5 features a unique release strategy with two distinct versions, Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B, each with a different climax. This means that audiences in theatres will experience different endings, where the identity of the "killer" will be revealed differently. The film, directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, is a comic caper with a whodunit element, and the dual climax adds a layer of intrigue and novelty.

An exhibition source told Bollywood Hungama, “The idea is to have equal shows for both versions. So, if Housefull 5A has been allotted two screens and 10 shows, the same would also apply to Housefull 5B. But in some cases, that won’t be practical to do, especially if the theatre can provide an odd number of shows, that is, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc. Then, Housefull 5A will have the edge.”

Housefull 5 follows the adventures of Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh, as they navigate a self-deprecating mystery with self-deprecating humor. The movie also features self-deprecating humor and funny one-liners from actors like Johnny Lever, Chunky Pandey, Jacky Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, and Nana Patekar.

Housefull 5 CBFC certificate and run time

Bollywood Hungama reported that Housefull 5 has been passed with a U/A 16+ certificate. However, CBFC suggested some minor changes in dialogue, like 'nikal dungi' was modified. Another dialogue starting with 'apne' was also asked to be modified. The words 'item' and 'haram' were replaced. Apart from these, a dialogue at 1 hour and 53 minutes was removed.

Meanwhile, both versions of the film have the same runtime and which is 165.48 minutes, aka 2 hours 45 minutes and 48 seconds.
