Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan, who has made a mark in other South Indian industries too, is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie I’m Game. DQ, as the actor is known to fans, confirmed that his upcoming film with RDX-fame director Nahas Hidhayath would release in theatres for Onam 2026.

When will Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game release
The rumours of I'm Game being a festival release have been doing the rounds for quite some time. Now, Dulquer Salmaan has confirmed the Onam 2026 release on social media. He made the announcement on February 3 as he marked 14 years in the world of films. However, Dulquer did not reveal an exact release date for I'm Game.
While confirming the release window, Dulquer also shared a new poster from the upcoming movie. The poster featured Dulquer holding a gun with bloodied hands, hinting that a high-octane action film is on the cards.
Who are the actors in I'm Game
I’m Game marks Dulquer Salmaan’s full-fledged role in Malayalam after King of Kotha in 2023. Antony Varghese Pepe also plays a key role in the upcoming film, along with Tamil filmmaker Mysskin, Kathir and Samyuktha Viswanathan. Pepe was also part of the movie RDX, which also impressed fans with its action choreography. Helmed by Nahas Hidhayath, I’m Game is billed as a complete actioner.
Jimshi Khalid is the cinematographer of I’m Game, while Jakes Bejoy is the music director. Notably, Jakes was also the music director of the blockbuster film Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra, which was backed by Dulquer. Lokah had also released for Onam in 2025, and emerged to be biggest hit that Malayalam cinema has ever seen.
Dulquer also made a cameo in Lokah, which was helmed by Dominic Arun. DQ, who has also co-produced I’m Game. would be hoping for another successful outing this festival season.
Dulquer’s last release was Kaantha, a period drama, which also starred Rana Daggubati and Bhagyashri Borse. Kaantha is now streaming on Netflix.
