Indra, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Vasanth Ravi in the lead role, is all set to release in theatres on August. The makers of the film announced that it will arrive on August 22, while revealing a new poster of the film.

It was earlier announced that actor Vasanth Ravi who was last seen in 2024 film Weapon, will be starring in a film titled Indra. The film is billed to be a horror thriller and directed by debutant filmmaker Sabarish Nanda. He had previously worked with Gautham Vasudev Menon.

On Friday, the makers of Indra announced that the film will see a theatrical release on August 22. The new poster shows Sunil and Vasanth Ravi. Apart from them Anikha Surendaran, Mehreen Pirzada are also part of the cast. As per reports, in the film Vasanth Ravi will be playing the role of a suspended police officer. More details on the project are expected to be announced soon.

Produced by Jaffer Sadiq and Irfan Malik, the technical crew of Indra consists of Prabh Rahgav cranking the camera and Praveen KL editing it. Ajmal Tahseen has scored the music. More details on Indra, including the plot, trailer and more are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Vasanth Ravi films to watch on OTT

Vasanth Ravi, who was introduced in Tamil cinema with the 2017 film Taramani had starred in films like Rocky, Asvins, and Jailer. While Rocky, directed by Arun Matheswaran, is not available on OTT platforms to stream, you can watch the found footage horror thriller Asvins on Netflix. Vasanth Ravi also played an important role in Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer, available on SunNXT, while his romantic drama Pon Ondru Kanden is on JioHotstar. Vasanth Ravi was last seen in Weapon a superhero film available on Aha Tamil.
