Manoj Bajpayee plays the titular role inspired by the real-life brave inspector Madhukar Zende, who chased a notorious serial killer, infamously called ‘bikini killer.’ Jim Sarbh plays the wicked serial killer Carl Bhojraj, based on Charles Sobhraj. A blend of crime and dark humour, Inspector Zende revolves around an intense cat-and-mouse chase between a devoted Bombay cop and a cunning serial killer. Directed by Chinmay D. Mandlekar, the movie retells the heroic tale of bravery, resilience, and intelligence of a cop that thwarts the killer’s moves.
