He is as busy as ever with his health and fitness being the focal point. His last few films like ‘Selfiee’, ‘Ram Setu’, ‘Cuttputlli’ and others have failed to make the cut. Akshay Kumar has an impressive list of films lined up. These include ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ (with Tiger Shroff), ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’ (wherein he plays the most important role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Amidst all this, he also has a super interesting film by the name of ‘Capsule Gill’ in his kitty. The latest update about this film is that the film’s makers have now decided to change the name of the film, as per a report in Bollywood Hungama. The news report states that, the film’s makers of ‘Capsule Gill’ have now named (read ‘renamed’) the film as ‘The Great Indian Rescue’, because the makers felt that this title did justice to the plot of the film. Additionally, since the film is based on a real-life rescue mission, the film’s makers felt justified about the film being titled as ‘The Great Indian Rescue’.

For the unversed, the film ‘The Great Indian Rescue’ is based on the life of the late Jaswant Singh Gill (who was the former Additional Chief Mining Engineer). It was due to his incessant efforts, which was instrumental in saving the lives of 65 people who were trapped in a flooded coal mine of Raniganj of West Bengal. The said incident had taken place in the year 1989.

The film has been directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and stars Parineeti Chopra as the female lead of the film.
