Starring Pankaj Kapur, Dimple Kapadia and Aparshakti Khurrana in the lead roles, the romantic comedy- drama film opted for a direct-to-digital streaming after making the rounds of International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

Much like the name suggests, Jab Khuli Kitaab is about a secret unraveled. The movie, helmed by Saurabh Shukla, follows the story of Gopal (Pankaj Kapur) and Anusuya (Dimple Kapadia), who have been married for over five decades. Their blissful marriage is disrupted by a shocking revelation made by Anusuya, who confesses to having been unfaithful to her husband Gopal a few years into their wedding.

Gopal, who is devastated by this news, decides to get a divorce despite their old age. This, obviously, leads to family upheaval and thus begins the journey of exploring what their relationship looked like in the early days. The viewers get a good blend of emotional, poignant moments with humor. Themes like forgiveness, letting go and the courage needed to start anew (with a possibility of normalizing love even in old age) are explored with the movie.

Samir Soni, Manasi Parekh, Nauheed Cyrusi, and Devyani Ratanpal also feature in the movie on rediscovering love in older age. All in all, the film promises romance, drama and some comic relief from time-to-time.
