Jailer: Makers offer a sneak peek of Superstar Rajinikanth in a short BTS video, leave fans overwhelmed

Rajinikanth in Jailer

After a short hiatus, Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer is back in the news. A while ago, a few stills and a video of the Superstar from the location at Cuddalore had gone viral. Sun Pictures, which is producing the movie, took to their social media page yesterday to inform that fans will be in for a treat soon.

The first official picture of Sandalwood star Shiva Rajkumar was unveiled yesterday by makers, leaving movie buffs elated. Fans of Rajini were curious to know if makers would release any pics of their matinee idol, but in vain.

However, they have come up with a short BTS video now providing a glimpse of the star shooting for the film. Though the video has only the silhouettes of him in the location, fans are excited about the sneak peek offered to them. Director Nelson Dilipkumar and music director Anirudh, too, shared the video to express excitement.

Ramya Krishnan, who is playing a key role in the movie, took to her Instagram page earlier today to post a video from the location without revealing anyone's face. She was thoroughly overwhelmed to team up with the star after more than two decades.

Though there is unconfirmed news doing the rounds that Jailer is likely to hit the screens as a summer release in 2023, cinephiles are waiting for an official confirmation. Stun Siva will be handling action choreography in the film which has Yogi Babu, Vinayagan and Vasanth among others essaying important roles.

The project, which marks Rajinikanth's 169th film, is expected to be his much-expected comeback as his fans weren't pleased with his previous outing Annaatthe. Nelson, too, is in need of a hit as his last film Beast didn't meet expectations.
