Jambi's teaser in Detective Ujjwalan

The teaser for this movie was shown as an after-credit sequence in Dhyan Sreenivasan's most recent film, Detective Ujjwalan. The video offers a glimpse of Jambi's zombie world. It shows a velichappadu, who is said to act as a conduit between a deity and followers, looking ominously up at the night sky. He covers his body in turmeric and vermilion red powders, his eyes turn white at once, and then he eerily vanishes into thin air. After a brief moment, the audience sees a terrifying zombie-like creature staring right at them.

Weekend Blockbusters is funding this film, which is being directed by George Kora. The third movie in the production company's world is Jambi. Detective Ujjwalan's recent release supports Weekend Blockbusters' efforts to create the first Malayalam cinematic universe. Tovino Thomas' Minnal Murali is another film in this franchise. George Kora, Harikrishnan, and Nandu Manoj wrote the script for Jambi. The makers released a motion teaser with the title in December 2024. In 2026, it will be released on the big screen.
