His final film is expected to be Jana Nayagan, which is set to release in theatres next year. The first single from the film, Thalapathy Kacheri, was released on Saturday, as fans awaited to watch the ‘one last dance’ of their favourite star. And happy to report, the song has indeed managed to have done that.

The lyrical song, has many easter eggs of Vijay’s previous film, and one frame that shows most of it, comes in the lyrical video. This has sent fans into a nostalgic trip. Some even asked if it was the film director, H Vinoth, who directed the song as well, since it looks like a ‘fan boy sambavam’. Overall, fans are quite satisfied with Thalapathy Kacheri which is fast-paced, and also has Vijay shaking a leg. After being posted from October this year, Jana Nayagan has zeroed on January 9, 2026, in time for Pongal release. It marks the first time H Vinoth is collaborating with Vijay. Apart from the actor, it also stars Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, and others. Rumoured to be a remake of Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari, Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film.
