Kabir Khan is finally ready to explore Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel with Salman Khan. The filmmaker, who had initially denied touching any sequel, is now open to the idea of Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. Kabir Khan on directing Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2

"We have definitely spoken about Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2," the director confirmed with Pinkvilla. However, he is still cautious with the sequel. "If and when a story hits us - maybe now, or a year later - we will definitely bring Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2," he confirmed. The director further clarified that he wished to make a sequel to the movie, but not just for the Box Office numbers. For the uninitiated, the filmmaker has been against the idea of sequels but has made an exception for a movie like Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2.

When Vijayendra Prasad confirmed Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 is in the works

RRR writer Vijayendra Prasad had earlier this year confirmed that Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 is in the works indeed. He in fact had said that Salman heard the first narration of the sequel and liked it. Nonetheless, he also left us with a hint of whether or not the film would go on floors by stating, "Let's see what happens."

Will Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Harshaali Malhotra return?

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan ka sequel ban sakta hai. But uska problem yeh hoga ki jab uska sequel banega toh Munni (Harshaali Malhotra) baat karegi," Salman Khan had teased during Sikandar's press conference. With the same, he teased that little Munni, now grown up, is likely to return for the film.

While there is no update on Kareena Kapoor Khan's front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was unaware of the project. "I don’t have any information on a sequel being made," the actor had told Hindustan Times back when he was promoting his movie Costao, adding that just because his character Chand Nawab was a part of the original film, he cannot go and tell the filmmakers to cast him for the sequel. Thus, Nawazuddin may not be a part of the movie, but since the scripting is still not completed, there’s still scope for his return.
