We had reported that Kannappa would most probably be released on July 25, 2025, but that did not happen as the deal did not materialize. Now the news is that Kannappa will be out on September 4, 2025, on Amazon Prime Video.

Mukesh Kumar Singh has directed the film on a whopping budget of Rs 200 crore, and the news is that a chunk of the budget has been recovered through the OTT deal. The likes of Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, and Mohanlal played cameos in this film, which also had Mohan Babu in a key role.

Vishnu Manchu had pinned a lot of hopes on making a comeback with this film, and his dream finally came true as Kannappa managed to get decent reviews. Vishnu’s performance in the climax, especially in all the scenes where he worships Lord Shiva, has become a talking point all over.
