For the people of Bangra and Kantara, the song Madana Mana Mohini was proof of the increasingly intimate relationship of Berme (Rishab Shetty) and princcess Kanakavathi (Rukmini Vasanth). She got him cleaned up and taught him trade secrets, which he lapped up eagerly, but behind it all was also her agenda of getting him to take her to and show her Kantara’s secret – Eashwarana hoothotha. At the time, it all seems part of her innocent romantic gestures, and her true intentions are revealed only later, but if one pays close attention to what Kanakavathi does in Madana Mana Mohini, the later reveal won’t be all that surprising, after all.

Kantara Chapter 1 OTT bound shortly

The full video of Madana Mana Mohini from Kantara Chapter 1 has now been made available. The film is still in theatres in its third weekend, but it is not far from its OTT release. Amazon Prime Video had picked up the exclusive streaming rights way back in early 2024 and, according to official sources, a 4-week window was set for the OTT debut of the south versions. Hindi is expected to drop after the 8-week mark. Interestingly, the 2022’s original Kantara’s Hindi version went to Netflix. This time, though, the credits clearly mentioned Amazon Prime Video as the exclusive streaming partner, with the satellite rights going to Zee Network.

Kantara Chapter 1, which released in theatres on October 2, continues its box office journey meanwhile. The film is currently the second highest grossing film of 2025, behind Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava. It is, however, expected outgross Chhaava by the end of its theatrical run. The film is also the highest grossing Kannada film ever, having amassed Rs 200 cr from home ground. While it is unlikely to break KGF: Chapter 2’s worldwide box office record, trackers are keenly checking if Rishab’s film has the wherewithal to become 2025’s first Rs 1,000 cr grosser.
