Kara: Makers of Dhanush film begin unveiling ‘Faces of Kara’; Meet Mamitha Baiju as distressed Selli

Kara is an upcoming Tamil film starring Dhanush in the lead role. The film is gearing up for release in April and ahead of it, the makers have begun to introduce the characters from the world of Kara. The first one to come out is Mamitha Baiju’s, who plays the female lead.

Kara is an upcoming Tamil film starring Dhanush. It is directed by Vignesh Raja in his second directorial. The filmmaker had earlier made crime thriller Por Thozhil which was critically acclaimed. Kara has music by GV Prakash.

On Tuesday, the makers of Kara began with character revelation and started with Mamitha Baiju’s role. She plays a young man Selli and in her poster, looks distressed in a room. The next set of posters are to be unveiled soon, giving a glimpse of every other character from the film. It is to be noted that Mamitha Baiju will pairing up with Dhanush for the first time with Kara.

Kara makers have officially locked the release date as April 30. The Dhanush-starrer will hit big screens just a week after the Tamil Nadu elections. With Kara being the first release for Dhanush this year, the rural action drama’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix.

Apart from Dhanush and Mamitha Baiju, the cast also includes KS Ravikumar, Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, MS Baskar, Sreeja Ravi, Karunas, and Prithvi Pandiarajan among others.
