Kara, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Dhanush in the lead role, has got a new update. Fans who have been wanting to know the release date of the film, can now know that Kara will be hitting big screens on April 30.

Kara release date: When is Dhanush’s next film releasing?

Dhanush, who has got an exciting line-up of films in the making, has his next release in form of the Tamil film Kara. The action drama is written and directed by Vignesh Raja of Por Thozhil fame. In a recent event that took place on behalf of Kara production, the producer and Dhanush took part. Ishari Ganesh who is bankrolling the film announced it formally that Kara will hit big screens on April 30. It was during a cultural festival when the producer praised Dhanush about his hard work he had put into the film.

What do we know about Kara so far?

With Dhanush playing Karasamy aka Kara in the film, the upcoming feature will be on the commercial side and a thriller set against the backdrop of rugged and rustic Ramanathapuram. The film is helmed by Vignesh Raja in his second directorial after Poz Thozhil. The shooting has been wrapped up. Apart from Dhanush, the film also features Mamitha Baiju, KS Ravikumar, Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, MS Baskar, Sreeja Ravi, Karunas, and Prithvi Pandiarajan among others. Written by Alfred Prakash and Vignesh Raja, the music for Kara is scored by GV Prakash Kumar and shot by Theni Eswar ISC. Sreejith Sarang is the editor. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film.
