Madhubala biopic is reportedly in the making, and the hunt for the lead actor is on. As per reports, Sanjay Leela Bhansali might produce the film.

The Madhubala biopic has everyone talking, with social media flooded with guesses about the lead. Reports recently dismissed that Kiara Advani is the lead, and Filmfare reported that Aneet Padda will portray the iconic star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited project. But it has been dismissd as well.

Filmafare reported that Aneet Padda has been roped in to play Madhubala in the biopic of the iconic Bollywood star. According to the source, Aneet is already on board for this special project. While other details are under wraps, filming is expected to begin soon. The insider also said that the final cast will be officially announced in the near future. However, a YRF Talent spokesperson confirmed that the report is untrue.
The untitled biopic seeks to chronicle the remarkable life of Madhubala, one of Indian cinema’s most beloved icons. Alongside her celebrated film career, the film will delve into her personal trials, including her passionate yet stormy romance with Dilip Kumar, her marriage to Kishore Kumar, and the heartbreak of her untimely death at just 36.
Kiara Advani is all set to star in Yash’s highly anticipated action thriller, Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-ups. She takes on the intense role of Nadia, a fearless and layered character whose first appearance hints at deep emotional wounds and hidden grief. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film promises a gripping journey into complex human emotions. It will hit cinemas on June 4, 2026.
On the other hand, after her breakthrough performance in the 2025 film Saiyaara, Aneet Padda is gearing up to lead the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe film, Shakti Shalini.
