Kingdom is now streaming on Netflix

During promotions, the makers released a song titled Hridayam Lopala, which became a chartbuster and gave the film solid hype ahead of its release. But fans got a rude shock when the song was deleted by the makers, citing runtime issues. This upset fans big time, and they pinned all hopes on the OTT release to watch the song on Netflix.

A few days back, news came out that the song would be added to the OTT version. But sadly, the song was missing again, upsetting fans further, who are now trolling the makers for this move. Bhagyashree Borse, the current sensation in Telugu cinema, shared sizzling chemistry with Vijay in the film. As her role was limited to just a few scenes, fans were also disappointed that they could not see her in the song.

Kingdom is an action drama and is getting mixed reviews on OTT. Some feel that the runtime is lengthy, while others believe the second half is over the top and lacks basic logic. However, Vijay Deverakonda’s performance is being praised a lot.

Kingdom was supposed to be released in two parts, and the makers revealed that 20% of the second part has already been shot. But the rumour is that part two has been scrapped for now.

Vijay Deverakonda films on OTTplay

Made on a budget of ₹130 crore, Kingdom managed to collect only ₹82 crore at the box office, leaving the makers in losses. Netflix paid a whopping ₹51 crore to bag the digital rights, which helped recover a chunk of the budget.

Vijay Deverakonda has been going through a series of flops, and unfortunately, Kingdom has not given him any respite. He is now shooting for his new film under the direction of Rahul Sankrityan.
