Director Krish reveals why Chaitanya Rao will be the biggest surprise in Ghaati

Ghaati is one of the most-awaited films in Telugu cinema, as it brings back Anushka Shetty to the big screen after a two-year gap. She plays the main role in this film, which also has Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu making his Telugu debut. A notable aspect of the film is that young actor Chaitanya Rao is playing one of the main villains.

Speaking about his casting, Director Krish stated that ever since he watched the popular series 30 Weds 21, he always wanted to work with Chaitanya Rao. The director goes on to add that the moment he watched Mayasabha now available on OTTplay Premium, he was convinced that Chaitanya Rao would play a solid role and hence cast him in Ghaati.

“I happened to watch the YouTube series and thought, who is this actor? His performance stayed in my mind, and the moment I came to know that he was playing one of the key roles in Deva Katta‘s Mayasabha I watched a few rushes of the show. Chaitanya blew my mind, and I was convinced that he would portray a negative role solidly in my film. Now that I have watched the film, Chaitanya will shock everyone with his mind-blowing performance. The way he has owned the character, dressed up in the film, and his screen presence will be one of the highlights of Ghaati,” said Krish.

Anushka Shetty plays the intense role of Sheelavati and has done a lot of action in Ghaati, which is about drug peddlers. Jagapati Babu will be seen as a CBI officer. He is in the news thanks to his new talk show, Jayammu Nischayammu Raa with Jagapathi now streaming on OTTplay. Thanks to the show’s success, Jagapati Babu‘s role in Kaththi is also being eagerly awaited.

Krish opens up on why he left Hari Hara Veera Mallu midway

Krish had given a big flop in the form of Kondapolam and was in the news as he walked away from his career’s biggest film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which was getting delayed time and again. For the first time, he opened up at the Ghaati press interaction and revealed that it was only because of his personal problems that he had to walk out of the Pawan Kalyan film.

“I am going through a bad phase and had to leave Pawan Kalyan‘s film due to my personal crisis, but I am back now and have concentrated completely on Ghaati, which I feel everyone will love,” said Krish.
