We are almost nearing the end of December and 2025, and even as Tamil cinema may not finish off on a high note, some notable releases are lined up for this week. A mix of theatrical and OTT releases, here is all that you can watch this week.

Middle Class – ZEE5 via OTTplay Premium (December 24)

Middle Class is a Tamil film directed by Kishore M Ramalingam. With Munishkanth and Vijayalakshmi playing the lead roles, Middle Class is a drama film which revolves around a family of four who live a humble lifestyle. But fate changes for them one day when an unexpected fortune knocks at their door, only for them to chase after it every time it slips.

Revolver Rita – Netflix (December 26)

Headlined by Keerthy Suresh in the titular role, Revolver Rita is a crime comedy drama which is about a group of women who are caught with a dead boy after circumstances lead a gangster killed at their house. Without getting caught between the gang wars, the family must not only dispose off his body but also come out clean. JK Chandru is the director and the cast includes Radhika Sarathkumar, Super Subbarayan, Sunil, Redin Kingsley, John Vijay, Kalyan Master, Suresh Chakravarthy, Kathiravan, Sendrayan, and others.

Bigg Boss Tamil – JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium (ongoing)

Bigg Boss Tamil hosted by Vijay Sethupathi will be seeing family week in the coming days, with housemates all set to reunite with their loved ones inside the house. Some intense confrontations, happy reunions, and emotional moments are expected to unravel.

Sirai – Theatres (December 25)

Sirai is an upcoming crime drama which features Vikram Prabhu in the lead role. The film is penned by director Thamizh and helmed by Suresh Rajakumari. Based on true events, it revolves around escort squad of police department, who must produce a murder accused to the court, only for the latter to escape with a police rifle leaving the cops in a state of fury. LK Akshay Kumar, Anishma Anilkumar, Ananda Thambirajah, play the supporting characters.

Retta Thala – Theatres (December 25)

Retta Thala is an action thriller drama which will feature Arun Vijay in dual shades. Directed by Kris Thirukumaran, it also stars Siddhi Idnani and Tanya Ravichandran along with Yogi Samy, John Vijay, Hareesh Peradi, Balaji Murugadoss and others. The film will revolve around the intense, high-octane narrative of the dual characters confronting each other against a crime backdrop.
