With Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly gearing up for release on April 10, Tamil cinema will be lying low with other releases. Dhanush’s Idly Kadai which was also scheduled on the same day, has postponed its release. With no notable OTT and theatrical releases, except for Test, April will solely rely on the star film to give the much-needed entertainment. Here are the OTT releases for this week:

Latest Tamil OTT releases (Mar 31- April 6)

Test – Netflix (April 4)

Test is an upcoming Tamil film starring actors Madhavan, Nayanthara and Siddharth in the lead roles. The film is written and directed by S Sashikanth, in his directorial debut. The film is an emotional drama, with an element of cricket. Notable singer Shakthishree Gopalan will be making her debut as composer with Test. Meera Jasmine plays an important role in the film, marking her second collaboration with Madhavan after Run and Ayutha Ezhuthu. Meanwhile, Siddharth and Madhavan have acted in Ayutha Ezhuthu, and Rang De Basanthi before.

Office – JioHotstar (ongoing)

The comedy series is backed by Jegannath and directed by Kabeez. It will feature a series of both promising and popular actors, many of whom appeared in the Heart Beat web series. The cast includes Guru Lakshman Sabarish, Smeha, Keerthivel, Kemy, Paranthaman, Thamizvani, Sarithiran, Shiva Aravind, Prankster Raghu and TSR. The series will revolve around the day-to-day events that happen in a Tahsildar’s office that is located in a small village that is full of life.

Madurai Paiyanum Chennai Ponnum – Aha Tamil (ongoing)

Madurai Paiyanum Chennai Ponnum is an ongoing web series. Starri ng Kanna Ravi and Angelin in the lead roles, it is a perfect blend of comedy, emotions, and Tamil culture. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Tamil Nadu, Madurai Paiyanum Chennai Ponnum is a heartwarming rom-com that explores the cultural and personal differences between a Madurai boy and a Chennai girl. The romantic comedy-drama series is directed by Vignesh Pazhanivel.
