The team of Leo has been coming up with regular updates ever since the official announcement of the project was made in the last week of January. After releasing a few stills from the location, the makers have now come up with an unexpected surprise for fans.

They have announced that Sanjay Dutt, who is said to be playing the antagonist in the project, has joined the ongoing schedule in Kashmir. The crew members have been staying in the northern state for quite some time filming crucial portions of the gangster flick.

A one-minute video of the Bollywood actor being welcomed by the crew, including Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, has also been released by makers. He seems to be pleased and is seen exchanging pleasantries with team members. Fans of Vijay are excited to see the new look the actor has sported for the movie.

They are going gaga over his salt-and-pepper look and have started debating on the possibility of the star sporting dual looks in the project. Cinephiles are still curious to know if Leo is part of the universe created by Lokesh in his previous outing Vikram.

A few days ago, Sanjay Dutt had posted a video of him working out in the gym; many fans were guessing that the actor was about to join the shooting of Leo. The movie, which was initially tentatively titled Thalapathy 67, will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi on October 19.

Leo is also Sanjay's biggest film in south post the huge applause he garnered in KGF: Chapter 2 which was released last year. The face-off between him and Vijay is expected to be the biggest highlight of the Lokesh directorial.
