Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, who are currently promoting their upcoming action film Liger discussed the most difficult aspect of filming. While many would think it would have been the action sequences, both actors said that it was the dance routines that had their work out for them.

In an interview with Filmy Mirchi, Vijay said that dancing was extremely challenging. “Dance is a bit unfair to men because women, they look beautiful so they don’t have to do anything and it looks nice, whereas we have to get our angles and stuff right. Dance is very biased towards women. You have this hair which will do half the dance," he said.

Ananya, however, had a different point of view. “Oh please, what nonsense," she said. "It is hard for everyone to dance if you have two left feet like me.”

The pair were also the guests of Koffee with Karan Season 7, where they discussed their professional and personal lives.

Ananya also had a counterview to that of Vijay about his controversial film Arjun Reddy on the show. Many found the movie misogynistic but Vijay said many viewers had approached him and asked where they could find someone as "protective" as Arjun Reddy. Ananya stated,“Honestly I feel if people have come up to him, then I’m sure there are people like that. I’m just not surrounded by those people. And I would not advise any of my friends to be okay with it. But, that’s just how I am.”

While Vijay stated that he does not agree with people who show aggression against women, he said that in order to connect with the characters he plays on screen, he needs to empathise with them.

Liger directed by Puri Jagannadh, will mark Vijay's Bollywood debut. Mike Tyson, Ramya Krishna and Ronit Roy are also part of the film, which will hit theatres on August 25.
