In what is its most ambitious slate till now, the platform has assured viewers with over 100 premieres, across languages and varied genres, in the coming year.

Lionsgate Play Asia president Rohit Jain promises that 2026 marks a turning point for the streaming platform as it seeks to cater to a wide range of audiences, from the Hindi heartlands to the southern states. This marks a profound shift in the platform’s content strategy, even as it continues to hold a monopoly over Hollywood content.
The Hollywood lineup of Lionsgate Play for 2026 is an eclectic mix of post-apocalyptic survival disaster film, an action-packed thriller and musical drama, among others.
With Greenland: Migration, Gerard Butler is once again leading a post-apocalyptic survival disaster thriller, which is the sequel to the 2020 film. Mutiny will see Jason Statham in yet another action avatar, while Kiss of the Spider Woman brings along a musical drama by Diego Luna. The crime thriller The Rivals of Amziah King is another exciting addition to the list.
In 2025, we have already been treated to Den of Thieves 2, Locked and even the controversial The Apprentice, in one of the bold choices of the platform.
The Hindi slate of Lionsgate Play in 2026 would bring in compelling crime thrillers, trending game shows and horror comedies, which seems to be the new success formula for Bollywood.
Going by the new-age motto of local is the new global, Lionsgate Play will also add over 25 titles, across the south Indian languages of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The crime drama Dakshina, Naveen Chandra's crime thriller Eleven, and Shine Tom Chacko's Malayalam film Soothravakyam are also part of Lionsgate Play's south library.
