Maamannan audio launch: Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan to attend the event?

If the buzz in the industry is to be believed, the audio launch of Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan is all set to be held in the first week of June. And it looks like the who's who of Kollywood will be in attendance at the launch. The buzz is that Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan are likely to be the Chief guests of the event. Though the details about the venue and the date are yet to be officially announced, it looks like the launch will be held in the first week of June.

Maamannan starring Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh and Lal, has music by Isai Puyal AR Rahman. Rahman had recently revealed on his social media handle that Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu himself has sung a song in the film. This is the first time that Vadivelu is singing in ARR's music. The musician also called the recording session memorable.

Meanwhile, Mari Selvaraj had recently revealed that AR Rahman had travelled all the way to watch the film. During a recent chat, Mari Selvaraj had said that before beginning the composing of Maamannan, AR Rahman wanted to watch the film. "When he called me and asked when he could watch it, I said that I was shooting for Vazhai in Tirunelveli and that I would be there for a month. I told him that I will arrange a screening for him in Chennai."

He added that Rahman insisted he watch the film with Mari Selvaraj and travelled all the way to Tirunelveli. " The fact that he watched the film with me in my hometown is overwhelming. I don't know how else to explain him."

Maamannan marks AR Rahman's maiden collaboration with Mari Selvaraj and Udhayanidhi Stalin. Rahman had earlier stated that it was interesting to work with Mari Selvaraj. "His thoughts and style of filmmaking are quite different," he had said.
