Talking about his Prime Minister role in Maharani Season 4, Vipin Sharma told us, "Subhash Kapoor and I have been in touch for the longest period of time, almost 7 years, and we have always wanted to work together and this time when the oppotunity came and Subhash bhai called and said 'this role and I would love to have a chat with you,' so we chatted and I immediately felt this was a dream come true because I had been wanting to work with him for a long time. I was very excited right from the beginning."
When asked about what fresh perspective his character can bring to the series, Vipin did not disclose much and added, "I unfortunately cannot talk about the story. All I can say is that it is a very interesting power dynamic since the whole Maharani - the 3 seasons are based on various characters and their journeys, conflicts, and everything, so the power dynamics already exist, and this time it has been enhanced."
Sharing experience of working with Huma Qureshi, Sharma said, "I know Huma from the Gangs of Wasseypur time. Then we did another film called Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana. We stayed in touch, and she is a fantastic and wonderful person. I absolutely loved working with her. She is very down-to-earth and a great person to work with. I had a great time working with her."
"Digital platforms basically are allowing varied content, which is a great thing. It has allowed a lot of new actors to come in front, a lot of new writers and directors. So it is a blessing. A lot of new writings are happening, new shows are being made, so that is all very exciting," he said.
"I had a hard time because in my personal life, I am a very casual person. I had a very hard time becoming an authoritative, powerful personality, and that was my biggest challenge. That was very humbling. You understand the power, dignity, and I have never experienced that," he said.
Vipin shared that off-camera, he likes non-fictional stories, spiritual journeys, literature, and a lot of neuroscience and new studies, health, medicine, and more.
Describing his Maharani 4 character in three words, Vipin said, "It is power with grace and dignity."
When asked about the possibility of Maharani 5, Sharma said, "I would really love to if Maharani 5 comes because it will be very interesting to see. Let's hope. I have no information but I would really hope that Season 4 does so well that we are asked to make Season 5."
