Haneef Adeni, fresh off Marco’s success, joins Karan Johar's Dharma Productions for a high-octane action film in Hindi and more languages.

Filmmaker Haneef Adeni is riding high on the success of his latest outing, Marco which turned out to be a Malayalam blockbuster across the country. The film starring Unni Mukundan in the titular role was released in other dubbed languages, where it became an instant hit. Now, as per the latest reports, Karan Johar's home banner, Dharma Productions, has signed Adeni.
As per Bollywood Hungama, with any luck, this film lives up to its billing as an intense actioner. The Great Father (2017), Mikhael (2019), and the subsequent hit solo spinoff, Marco are just a few of Haneef's tremendous filmography. The filmmaker has made a name for himself in the bloodthirsty, relentless action genre, and he plans to continue that success by delivering the kind of polished, authentic thrills that keep viewers glued to the screen.

This new film, reportedly produced in Hindi and other languages as well, will be helmed by Adeni and be produced by Dharma Productions. With the launch of their distribution wing and a slew of impending releases across genres, the production house has started 2025 on the right foot in their quest to grow their cinematic adventure. The banner is riding a tide of hopeful big-screen action with the addition of Adeni. On the other hand, the cast announcement is just as much anticipated, so fans can't wait to find out more about the film.
Dharma Productions is now preparing the release of a number of projects, one of which is Kesari: Chapter 2. As it follows the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, the Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, and Ananya Panday starrer is said to be based on real-life events surrounding politician and lawyer C. Sankaran Nair. Along with that, there's Dhadak 2 a potent love drama based on the 2018 Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal that stars Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
In addition to these two, the production company is working on Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari which will include Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Maniesh Paul in significant parts.
