Modern Love Mumbai promises to bring to the silver screen some heartwarming contemporary tales of love set in the titular city. Today, the makers unveiled the first song from the series, titled Mausam Hai Pyaar, which is also the show’s official title track as well.

The song has been crooned and composed by Nikhil D’Souza, who also appears in the music video, trusty guitar in hand. The video also features some glimpses from the show, which are both heartwarming as well as tumultuous. Nikhil’s musical voice, Pinky Poonawala’s charming lyrics as well as the delightful glimpses from the series come together in a memorable melody of love.

The series is the Indian adaptation of the American series Modern Love, inspired by The New York Times column of the same name. The original series can also be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

The upcoming six part series features episodes helmed by Shonali Bose, Hansal Mehta, Vishal Bhardwaj, Alankrita Shrivastava, Dhruv Sehgal and Nupur Asthana, titled Baai,Raat Rani,My Beautiful Wrinkles, I Love Thane, Cutting Chai and Mumbai Dragon. The series stars Yeo Yann Yann, Meiyang Chang, Wamiqa Gabbi, Naseeruddin Shah,Fatima Sana Shaikh, Bhupendra Jadawat, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Tanuja, Pratik Gandhi, Ranveer Brar, Sarika, Danesh Razvi, Ahsaas Channa, Tanvi Azmi, Masaba Gupta, Ritwik Bhowmik, Prateik Babbar, Aadar Malik, Dolly Singh, Chitrangda Singh and Arshad Warsi.

In addition to Modern Love Mumbai, the Indian adaptations of the American show include Modern Love Chennai (Tamil) and Modern Love Hyderabad (Telugu).

Modern Love Mumbai will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from May 13 onwards.
