Muthu alias Kaattaan aka Kaattaan is an upcoming Tamil web series starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. A rural action drama, it is set to stream this week. Audience can catch the show streaming on JioHotstar from March 27 onwards in various languages, including Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Kaattaan is a 2026 Tamil web series which is soon to premiere on OTT. The series was announced as part of JioHotstar’s new content slate in Tamil this year. Kaattaan is set to premiere on JioHotstar on March 27. The streaming platform will release the series in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and Bengali.

Kaattaan is expected to have 10 episodes in total with each running for about 30-40 minutes each. Earlier, Vijay Sethupathi had said in one of the interviews that Manikandan had written the story for two seasons, with the makers then deciding to green light the first season for now.
While the exact plot of the series is not yet known, it revolves around severed head with police and others looking out for its body. Vijay Sethupathi, who has also produced the show, plays the lead role in Kaattaan, which will be set in a village and about a man who excels in many odd jobs.

The series is created by M Manikandan who has also directed the show along with B Ajithkumar. It is to be noted that Kaattaan is a comeback for Manikandan who had critically acclaimed films like Kaaka Muttai and Kadaisi Vivasayi which also happened the director's most recent release. Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, the show also features Milind Soman, Singampuli, Muthukumaran and others.
