Since then there has been speculation about the movie being made in Telugu. The news of a project which will have Venkat Prabhu teaming up with Naga Chaitanya was also doing the rounds.
Now, it is heard that the two are likely to join hands for the remake of Maanaadu. It is heard that Pooja Hegde will be roped in to play the female lead in the project.
The makers of Maanaadu had initially approached Ravi Teja to play the antagonist's role, but he declined the offer and said that he will play the character if it is made in Telugu. So, can Tollywood movie buffs expect the coming together of these talented stars?
Venkat Prabhu hasn't attempted any remake or other language movie in his career. It has to be seen if the filmmaker will do the Tollywood remake of Maanaadu. Meanwhile, he is now busy with Manmadha Leelai which has Ashok Selvan playing the lead. The movie which has three female leads is expected to be wrapped up soon.
