But Sushin Shyam is currently in the news after an upcoming Netflix series Splinter Cell used one of his popular compositions from the movie Aavesham and did not even give credit to the Malayalam music director. This has not gone down well with Kerala cinephiles, who have flooded the comments sections slamming the streaming giant and urging them to 'Stop stealing stuff'.

Netflix recently revealed the teaser of Splinter Cell: Deathwatch but it led to barrage of negative feedback on YouTube. Several netizens questioned the use of 'The Last Dance' from Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham in the short glimpse. Neither Aavesham music composer Sushin Shyam or singer Hanumankind have been given their due credit. Netizens were quick to point out that it is from Malayalam movie Aavesham with comments reading “Pitty of you Netflix” and “To the music director - Get your own damn music or give the credits to the maker . Stop stealing stuff.”

Several netizens also urged the streaming giant to give credit to the original artists. "The last dance"......atleast give the credits to sushin Shyam,” read another comment.

Sushin Shyam has also reacted to the Splinter Cell: Deathwatch teaser, saying “Thanks Netflix for featuring my track! Would've been cooler if my name had made it to the credits too.” However, singer Hanumankind has not publicly reacted to the row yet.
