Fahadh Faasil’s latest Malayalam film Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, which also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead role, is set for its digital debut. It was earlier announced that the film is headed to Netflix, and now the platform has confirmed that Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira will drop on the platform on September 26, 2025.

Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, which released in theatres on August 29, 2025, as an Onam release, will drop on streaming within a month of its theatrical release. The Malayalam film starring Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles of a young couple, will drop on Netflix on September 26, 2025, the platform has announced. Apart from Malayalam, Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada on the platform.

The film is helmed by Althaf Salim and features several notable names, including Lal and Vinay Forrt. But despite the likes of Fahadh and Kalyani, Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira failed to connect to the audiences and ended as a box office dud. Notably, OKCK is Kalyani's second Onam release of the year, with her first release of Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra becoming an instant fan-favourite, shattering box office records. The superhero film made Rs 267 crore at the box office to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film beating Mohanlal's Empuraan.

The other Onam release of Hridayapoorvam, also starring Mohanlal, fared better, finishing second after Lokah. The fourth release of Maine Pyar Kiya had a forgettable outing at the cinemas.

The plot of Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira revolves around the young couple of Aby and Nidhi who are set to tie the knot. Before their wedding, Nidhi tells Abhi that he wishes her groom to come to the wedding riding a horse. Aby then sets out to find a horse, and finally manages to find one too. He turns up for the wedding on horseback but an unforeseen event leads to a chaotic result that changes their life.

Althaf Salim sought to showcase a thought-provoking film which touches upon mental health issues, much like how his debut directorial Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela looked at a cancer patient's battle in a poignant yet humorous way. But unlike Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela which touched a chord with the audiences, Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira met with mixed reviews upon release and hardly gave any competition to Lokah or Hridayapoorvam at the ticket wicket. Meanwhile, Hridayapoorvam is also set for its digital release on September 26 on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium.
