Paranthu Po: AA22 director Atlee heaps praises; reveals his favourite character in Ram's film

Paranthu Po, the recently released Tamil film starring Mirchi Shiva, Grace Antony, Master Mitul Ryan and others, is currently running in theatres, and has been getting praises from the audience. The film is written and directed by Ram. The latest to shower praise on the film is director Atlee.

Atlee praises Paranthu Po

Filmmaker Atlee, who is currently working with actor Allu Arjun for a mega-budget film, shared his opinion on Paranthu Po and heaped praise. He said, “It was a memorable movie and talks about the father-son relationship. Music was composed by my dear friend Santhosh (Dhayanidhi). The many songs in the film were novelistic and connecting. I think the most memorable role is that of Anjali’s.” He also praised the performances of Shiva and Grace Antony, and how the child actor Master Mitul Ryan is the soul of the film. “This film is great,” he added.

Paranthu Po is a musical comedy film which focuses on a father and son who take a road trip away from the city and into nature. The film also features Grace Antony, Anjali, Aju Varghese, Vijay Yesudas and others. JioHotstar has bagged the post-theatrical rights of the film. The film is produced by Ram, V Gunasekaran, V Karupuchaamy, V Shankar, with banners Jio Hotstar, GKS Bros Production, Seven Seas And Seven Hills Productions associated with the project.

Atlee-Allu Arjun project begins pre-production

Only a few weeks back, we had reported that Deepika Padukone has been cast in Atlee’s next, which will feature Allu Arjun in the lead role. The AA22 project, produced by Sun Pictures, is expected to be a creature feature film and will be made on a lavish budget. The pre-production works of the upcoming, yet-to-be-titled project are going on, with a release date yet to be announced. As per reports, the film will feature multiple female leads, with announcements to come at later stages.
