Parasakthi is an upcoming Tamil film starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. The film’s release date was initially locked on January 14, and was later advanced to January 10. It will be competing for the weekend box office collection with Vijay-starrer Jana Nayagan.

Parasakthi stars actor Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, and is written and directed by Sudha Kongara. The project was initially launched with the director and Suriya, with actors Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya and Vijay Verma, as Purananooru. However, after Suriya and the rest of the cast stepped down, the project was rechristened as Parasakthi with Sivakarthikeyan onboard.
