This horror thriller, directed by R Ajay Gnanamuthu, stars Arulnithi, Ramesh Thilak, Sanath and Abhishek Joseph George, who play friends. One night, they decide to visit a dilapidated 'haunted' bungalow in Demonte Colony. After the outing, strange things begin to happen in their lives, including the death of their friend. The film which turned out to be a massive hit, is now getting a sequel.

Nayanthara's 50th film, Maya, received critical acclaim after the film had the audience on the edge of their seats. The neo-noir horror film, written and directed by Ashwin Saravanan, revolves around Apsara (Nayanthara), a single mother struggling to make ends meet by working in ad films. When she takes up the challenge of watching a horror film alone in a theatre, she gets teleported into the film.

The film is a remake of Ram Gopal Varma's Bhoot, which starred Ajay Devgn and Urmila Matondkar. The Tamil version was helmed by Thiagarajan and revolved around Vasanth (Prashanth), a stock analyst, who buys a flat in a high-rise building and moves in with his wife Malini (Meena). When Malini learns about the suicide committed by the previous occupant, she begins to behave in a peculiar manner.
