This production is a major undertaking for Varma and Bajpayee, who worked together in the late '90s on some legendary films. Shool and Kaun solidified their artistic cooperation, while Bajpayee's portrayal of Bhiku Mhatre in Satya catapulted him into the spotlight. The filmmaker and actor are taking a risk on a new genre after working together for almost 20 years.
As per a report in Mid Day, in this film, the protagonist is a police officer who, after killing a gangster, becomes possessed by the spirit of the criminal he had slain. Shooting for Police Station Mein Bhoot will commence at a bungalow in Hyderabad's Ameerpet neighbourhood. According to a source, the bungalow is going to be turned into a police station. The police station becomes haunted, and Ramu's wild story follows Manoj's character as he goes from being an honest cop to a maniacal one.
