The much-awaited Tamil film currently is inarguably Ponniyin Selvan 2 which has been slated for a theatrical release on April 28. The Mani Ratnam directorial will hit the screens in five languages and movie buffs are eagerly waiting to watch the sequel which is based on Kalki's epic novel.

The makers unveiled the first single, Aga Naga from the movie, a few days ago. A couple of pictures featuring Mani and AR Rahman working for the film's re-recording in a studio in London were later released by the team, sending fans in a tizzy.

Fans of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Karthi, Trisha and Jayam Ravi have been awaiting the next update from Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies which are jointly bankrolling the magnum opus. They have now come up with a surprise, leaving them excited.

Amid speculations on the audio launch and trailer release of the film, makers have announced that its trailer will be unveiled on March 29. According to sources, the most-anticipated audio event, too, is likely to happen on the same day. However, an official update is awaited.

Fans of the novel and those who loved the first part are curious to know how the cast and crew are planning to promote the sequel across the country. Ponniyin Selvan 1 grossed more than 500 crores and turned out to be the biggest money spinner in Tamil Nadu.
