Por Thozhil OTT release: THIS platform bags the digital rights of Sarath Kumar, Ashok Selvan's crime drama

Vignesh Raja's debut directorial flick will be released in theatres on June 9,

The team of Por Thozhil unveiled its first look, teaser and trailer recently and announced its release date as June 9. Sarath Kumar and Ashok Selvan play lead roles in the film which is billed as a crime drama. Nikhila Vimal and Nizhalgal Ravi are others who essay key roles in the project.

Vignesh Raja has helmed the film which has been produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, Mukesh R Mehta, CV Sarathi, Poonam Mehra and Sandeep Mehra. It revolves around a series of cruel murders that leave the police department in distress. How two cops, a senior police officer and a newbie, set out to solve the mystery forms the crux of the story.

The team has now come up with a short promo video which has Ashok asking Sarath about the trailer of the film which was released a couple of days ago. The latter, however, starts singing a romantic song. The former interferes and clarifies that he asked about the trailer of Por Thozhil.

The duo then asks the audience to check out the trailer. Jakes Bejoy has composed music for the project which will be distributed by Sakthi Film Factory across Tamil Nadu. Alfred Prakash has written the screenplay of the movie along with director Vignesh.

We have now come to know that SonyLIV has bagged the digital rights of Por Thozhil. The film is expected to drop on the platform towards the end of June.

The movie marks the first theatrical outing for Ashok Selvan in 2023 while Sarath was seen in Rudhran, Ponniyin Selvan 2 and Varisu. Nikhila is marking her comeback to Kollywood with the movie after a short hiatus.
