On its second day of theatrical run, the Dileep-starrer earned about Rs 1.05 crore, primarily from publicity through word-of-mouth. Reports from Sacnilk website indicates that the movie made approximately Rs 1 crore on its first day in India, while collecting Rs 1.14 crore globally. The movie is having a slow start at the box office, especially considering the Gramaphone star's recent films, which failed make an impression among his fans or the audience. However, the exact overseas collection is still unknown. Additionally, it is anticipated that the movie would bring more people to theatres on the weekends.

Prince and Family marks Dileep’s comeback as an entertainer

After a string of recent box office setbacks, Dileep makes an unexpected comeback with Prince and Family. The Ishtam star has not had a successful movie that got good reviews from viewers in a long time. Due to their box office failures, some of his most recent films, including Bandra and Thankam, did not make it to OTT. Despite having a slow start, Prince and Family is doing well in theatres in light of all of this.

Much praise is also being given to director Binto Stephen for successfully reviving the C.I.D. Moosa actor in a role that the audience have always enjoyed seeing him perform. Binto worked as chief associate director on a number of films, such as Malayalee From India and Queen. The humourous aspect of the film keeps the viewers attentive even though Dileep's portrayal of a family man stressed by his family obligations is not novel. The film shows Dileep in a role that Malayalis have long enjoyed seeing him play, despite all the minor shortcomings.
