Upcoming Thursday, July 3, at 8 p.m. IST, marks the high-stakes finale of Prime Video's Hindi adaptation of the BAFTA- and Emmy-winning series The Traitors which has just one episode remaining. Karan Johar hosted the 10-part season, which started streaming on June 12 from Rajasthan's Suryagarh Palace. A small number of contestants are still in the running for the ₹‍1‑crore pot prize.

Game of lies, loyalty, elimination

Some of the twenty famous contenders had been privately anointed "traitors" before they even reached the castle. The remaining group, who were called "innocents," had to locate the moles and drive them away before they could be eliminated through poisoning and murder. Raj Kundra, Lakshmi Manchu, and Raftaar are among the well-known faces who have been banished or killed in the previous nine episodes, leaving only a small group to compete in the final vote. The rules are straightforward: if all the innocents are exposed, they divide the pot evenly; if only one traitor remains until the final vote, that person receives the money on their own.

Apoorva Mukhija and Purav Jha, two 23-year-old content creators, developed an unlikely relationship despite the pervasive suspicion between them. "Mujhe Apoorva ko leke bohot waise lag raha hai" (I'm feeling a certain way about Apoorva), Purav said earlier in the run, acknowledging how rapidly the connection had deepened. He shared, "Woh best friend ban chuki hai meri… Ek dil se dil ka connection ho chuka hai." (She has become my best friend… a heart‑to‑heart connection has formed.)

Emotions rise amid cold strategy

In a show that celebrates icy logic that confession stood out. However, the upcoming finale delivers the true emotional shock. In the promo material for the upcoming episode, Purav tenderly apologises to Apoorva, who faced expulsion in Episode 9, saying, "I am really sorry." "Mereko terese attachment bohot zyada hai yaar." (I’m very attached to you, buddy).

His apologies suggest guilt and second-guessing, which reveal an unexpected vulnerability for someone still vying for the ₹1‑crore cheque. People are starting to wonder if he will let his emotions influence his final strategic choices.

Final shield task

In the final episode, the contestants will embark on their last shield mission before the final round-table vote determines the outcome. Any remaining traitor needs to persuade the innocents to exile one of their own; conversely, the innocents need to do the exact reverse. Karan Johar will be responsible for the reveal and final cheque writing.

Prime Video already has episodes 1–9 available, and on July 3 at 8 p.m. the grand finale will stream exclusively on the platform. All episodes will be available on demand following the show, so even latecomers may catch up. The final chapter of The Traitors promises less strategy and more heartbreak, as friendships are damaged and ₹ 1 crore is at stake—exactly what occurs when deceit meets true feelings.
