Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story 

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is the upcoming spinoff of the Chris Van Dusen-created Netflix show that witnesses the rise of an empire and an epic love story in an era that changed the world. The highly anticipated web series stars India Amarteifio, Corey Mylchreest, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh and Ruth Gemmell in pivotal roles.

Along with being a spin-off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is also a prequel to Bridgerton as it chronicles the life of young Charlotte in becoming the wife of a king as well as the queen of one of the biggest empires in history.

Makers released the official trailer of the upcoming show which sees Amarteifio as a young Charlotte who is brought to marry the future king of Bridgerton and become a queen. The trailer further unveils how she only gets to follow the orders given to her by the young prince's mother, who only wants her to give birth to as many offsprings of her son as she can.

She soon starts feeling trapped and tries to run away from all the chaos and drama, however, her meeting with the lovely prince changes her perception as he sweeps Charlotte off of her feet soon.

The show is created by Shonda Rhimes, who has also written the story of the epic drama saga along with Nicholas Nardini. The Tom Verica directorial is backed by Rhimes with Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Anna O'Malley under Shondaland in association with Netflix.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, which also has Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell, Hugh Sachs, Sam Clemmett, Michelle Fairley, Richard Cunningham, Tunji Kasim, Cyril Nri and Katie Brayben among others, will premiere on Netflix on May 4.
