Talks on to bring Amitabh Bachchan as sutradhar

According to an insider, the film's producers are in talks with the legendary actor to have him introduce the film as its sutradhar. The source shared that no one else can provide the same level of solemnity as him in his voice. The makers are determined to use his voice to introduce the film. The insider added that they are still in the negotiation stage.

For several years, Tiwari—known for his works in Dangal and Chhichhorehas been adapting the epic tale given by Valmiki. Leaked on-set photographs of Kapoor's chiselled, warrior-like physique as Lord Rama gained notice when the film's casting became a major attraction. While Sai Pallavi makes her big-screen Hindi film debut as Sita, Yash—last seen in the blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2—plays a stylised version of Ravana.

Use of visual effects to enhance Amitabh Bachchan’s role as Jatayu

Bachchan's potential narration of the epic opus might provide the undertaking an air of seriousness. But there are obstacles to the new idea as well, since Bachchan is already providing the voice of Jatayu, the heroic vulture who gives his life to try to rescue Sita from Ravana. There are rumours that Bachchan's eyes were scanned to recreate the bird's traits in order to produce Jatayu's persona, who will reportedly use elaborate visual effects.

Addressing the possibility of overlapping views, the insider noted that while the clash is a concern, there will be ways to work it out on a creative level. It will be powerful to have him introduce the film and serve as its spiritual narrator.

Film on track for a two-part release starting 2026

The makers of Ramayana are in the midst of filming crucial scenes with the intention of releasing Part One in 2026 and Part Two the following year. The idea of Bachchan's voice narrating the story from the beginning is already generating early excitement about what is anticipated to be one of Bollywood's most ambitious projects thus far, in addition to the growing anticipation surrounding the casting selections, visual scale, and storytelling.
