Mid-Day reported that the Ramayana universe will be expanded and Sunny Deol might headline the next chapter of Ramayana, which is a high-octane Hanuman-centric musical film. The project is described as a "mythological-pop opera with thunderous action", which is rumoured to be the second major entry in the Ramayana universe (R-verse).

“The moment they saw the initial writing of Hanuman’s sequences in Ramayana, the team knew he needed his own stage. And Sunny paaji’s name kept coming up because who else could play it better than him, as he is also part of the original,” shared the source.

The makers plan to mix legends, music, high-octane set pieces, aerial battles, and flaming torch choreography, along with a 12-minute song that is described as a battle hymn. The source shared, “Avengers-styled interconnected storylines with recurring characters and crossovers. Hanuman is their Hulk — unstoppable, beloved, and built for spectacle.”
