Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is a two-part epic movie, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash in the lead roles. Now, a report claimed that Ranbir has begun filming the next schedule of the much-awaited mythological epic, Ramayana 2, in Mumbai, reprising his role as Lord Ram.

What's the schedule update for Ramayana 2?

For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor was initially scheduled to start filming Love & War in March, but reportedly, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s recent health issues have postponed the production, which is now expected to resume around May 2026. After Love & War’s March shoot was pushed back, Ranbir has redirected his energy toward Ramayana 2.

Pinkvilla reported, “RK aims to complete a significant portion of his shoot for the mythological epic between March and May. At the moment, Ranbir is sporting a clean-shaven look as part of his transformation into Lord Ram. The look aligns with the visual continuity planned for the film, which is expected to expand the scale and storytelling established in the first part.”

It also mentioned that Sunny Deol, portraying the mighty Lord Hanuman, is set to join Ranbir Kapoor on set soon. He is expected to begin shooting around March 20, kicking off a significant schedule that will include several important scenes featuring both iconic characters together.

"Ranbir has already begun filming his portions in Mumbai and Sunny Deol is expected to join the shoot around March 20. This schedule is particularly important because it includes multiple combination scenes between Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman, which are pivotal to the narrative," it shared.
