AneesBazmee is prioritising his new project, Ram Aur Shyam over the No Entry Mein Entry sequel due to casting issues. Kartik, Ranveer, and Ranbir are targets, with Shahid as an alternative.

Anees Bazmee is reportedly preparing to shift his focus and concentrate on another project, generating significant excitement in the industry with his highly anticipated No Entry Mein Entry sequel a long-awaited follow-up to his 2005 smash hit. According to reports in the business, the filmmaker is currently focused on a separate film called Ram Aur Shyam that is supposedly in its advanced stages of creation. The cast of the comedy sequel to No Entry has not been confirmed yet. But filming is expected to begin early next year on the project.

Though the name Ram Aur Shyam brings to mind the 1967 Dilip Kumar masterpiece, everybody involved in the production has been keen to assure fans that Bazmee's concept is not a carbon copy. The film's leading double part has reportedly been going to one of three famous actors: Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, or Kartik Aaryan.
Midday spoke with an industry insider who gave some background on the project's creative direction. According to the insider, Bazmee has been thinking about this idea for some time. The plan is not to recreate the original but rather to give a fresh take on the twin motif.

Potential leading man Kartik Aaryan has worked with Bazmee on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 before. He may be a good fit because of his history of fruitful collaboration with the director on the comedy-horror series. But casting is still difficult because the targeted actors have busy schedules.
There is a lot of action for all three actors. January is when Singh begins shooting for Don 3 and Naagzilla for Aaryan. On the other hand, Kapoor will dive into Dhoom 4 prep after Love & War wraps up, the insider stated, highlighting the timing problems.
According to reports, Bazmee is apparently contemplating alternatives due to this challenge. The source continued by saying that Shahid Kapoor is the other actor on the filmmaker's mind. If everything proceeds as planned, they aim to start filming by the end of February.
If Aaryan secures a role in the film, it will mark his third feature film with the filmmaker. While No Entry Mein Entry is still on many people's wish lists, the makers appear to be putting more emphasis on Ram Aur Shyam because it has a better chance of going into production in the first half of 2026. Ram Aur Shyam is coming together, so Bazmee will definitely be back on the set soon, even though the big sequel is behind schedule.
Q: Is Anees Bazmee's Ram Aur Shyam a remake of the Dilip Kumar classic?
A: While the title brings the classic to mind, insiders insist that Anees Bazmee's version is different. The idea is to reinterpret the twin theme for a new generation, not to remake the 1967 film.
Q: Which actors are being considered for the double role in Anees Bazmee's Ram Aur Shyam?
A: The main contenders for the double role are Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Kartik Aaryan. Shahid Kapoor is also being considered as a backup option if the other actors' dates don't work out.
Q: Why is Anees Bazmee starting Ram Aur Shyam before No Entry Mein Entry?
A: The sequel to No Entry (2005), titled No Entry Mein Entry, is reportedly being delayed because the makers are still finalizing the cast. Trade buzz suggests Bazmee will most likely kick off the more developed project, Ram Aur Shyam, early next year instead.
